Celebration Assembly

Our weekly Celebration Assembly is a special time when the whole school comes together to recognise effort, achievement and positive contributions to our school community. It is a joyful occasion where we celebrate both in-school successes and achievements beyond the classroom.

Star of the Week

Each week, one pupil from every class is chosen as Star of the Week. This award recognises children who have demonstrated our school rules of being a Safe, Kind and Useful member of the community and who have excelled in one or more of our core values: Inclusion, Responsibility, Aspiration and Collaboration.

Each Star of the Week receives a certificate and is celebrated in front of the whole school.

Forest School Star

For classes taking part in Forest School, one child per class is chosen weekly as a Forest School Star. This recognises engagement in outdoor learning, teamwork and resilience, and respect for the natural environment.

Maths Engagement Awards

We celebrate children who show dedication to their home learning through our online maths platforms: Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) and NumBots. Certificates are awarded to pupils who achieve the highest number of minutes of engagement each week.

Reading at Home Awards

Reading is a key part of our school life, and we love to celebrate it. Children receive certificates when they reach milestones in their reading records: 20 reads, 50 reads, and every additional 50 reads thereafter. These awards encourage a lifelong love of reading and recognise commitment at home.

Celebrating Achievements Beyond School

We value the whole child and love to celebrate achievements outside of school. Children are encouraged to bring in certificates, medals and trophies. These are shared during Celebration Assembly so we can recognise their wider talents and interests.

House Points

All children belong to one of our four houses: Concorde (Green), Britannia (Red), Olympus (Yellow), Pegasus (Blue). Each week, we celebrate the total house points earned. Friendly competition encourages teamwork and pride in belonging (read more about our houses here).

Termly and Annual Rewards

At the end of each term, the house with the most points earns a special reward. At the end of the school year, the overall winning house is celebrated with a larger reward. Rewards may include extra time on PE equipment, movie and popcorn sessions, and creative art activities.

Attendance Celebration

Classes with attendance above 96% are rewarded with an additional 5 minutes of playtime. This recognises the importance of good attendance and punctuality.

A Celebration of Community

Celebration Assembly is at the heart of our school community. It is an opportunity to recognise effort and achievement, share success and pride, and encourage one another. It brings our school together in a positive and uplifting way, helping every child feel valued and inspired to do their best.
